LONGWOOD GARDENS

Longwood Gardens is a celebrated botanical in Kennett Square Pennsylvania. Fluidity was asked to enhance this masterpiece by Pierre du Pont by updating it for the 21st century. Fluidity enhanced the Main Fountain Garden by introducing new water elements and lighting technology. The basket weave nozzles were added in the to the Upper and Lower Canals and they provided a great backdrop for the flame nozzles that emanated for it’s center.
In the Round Fountains, along with updated lighting technology, a rotating nozzle as wells as 4 air nozzles were added to enrich the fountain experience.
At the Rectangular Basin, 24 air nozzles, 11 3-axis nozzles, 14 rotating nozzles and an arrangement of 8 linear 3-axis nozzles (Hidden Layer Dancer) added a layer of delight to the existing nozzles.

SUNDANCE SQUARE

This interactive water feature contains 216 vertical jet nozzles illuminated with LED lighting technology. This feature has three different modes: off (no jets or membrane pool), Membrane Pool Mode (thin sheet of water on the surface of the water feature, Vertical Jet Mode (various compositions of 4 jet groupings). The vertical jet groups ramp up and down, at varying times and at varying the height of the jets to create different rooms and experiences for  the user.
When dry, this plaza allows for various programming activities like yoga, farmers markets and the annual running of cattle.
Nozzles and lights were integrated within the herringbone pattern devised by the Landscape Architecture firm of Micheal Van Valkenburg with a custom stainless steel grating.

NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY TRUTH AND BEAUTY FOUNTAINS
The Truth and Beauty fountains that flank the entry of the New York Public Library were enhanced by the addition of 4 arching jets and restoration of the fountain basins. It was Fluidity’s aim to create a presence for these water features with respect for the era that they were created. Design consisted of four bronze shrouds that concealed the jets and two light fixtures in the upper pool.
