His background in city planning, architecture, water feature design, and photography serves as a strong framework of skills that are essential to graphic design. Being architecturally trained (he is a Modernist at heart and loves using bold colors and simple illustrations in his work), his experiences have taught him that a good concept, and iteration, lead to great design solutions. At the start of projects, he processes information through an architectural lens and then transforms it through a graphic design grid.
